I just sold my business
Here's the story and what comes next
I exited Copyblogger over the weekend. Which means I’m semi-retiring. Here’s the story and what comes next...
The story:
I became a freelance writer in 2017
After some success, I built a personal brand
That grew a ton and got me more exposure
Exposure made me CEO of Copyblogger
I fell in love with stock trading
I lost a lot of money stock trading
Then I figured out a system that works
I started winning 65% of days (even red ones)
I told my partner I was going to exit sometime soon
He decided to buy me out right away
What’s coming next:
I’ll consult a bit for the next 6-12 months. I just made that offer in Calendly. The first 5 people who book it will get a reduced price. Then I’ll raise it by at least 50%. The idea here is to help people add real persuasion to their profiles, content, copywriting, offers, etc. I see so many people on here who are trying to build personal brands but have no idea how to get people to invest money in them. This will help. Click here to get one of the 5 discounted slots.
I’ll may stop sending this newsletter. But I also I might release a free Loom video once a week on LinkedIn. So if that’s the case, you might get that. We’ll see.
When the time is right, I’ll move on from business and content entirely. I’m estimating sometime in the second half of next year. After that, I’ll just be a trader/investor. Nothing else.
Once I get that to a high level, I’ll rev up my efforts to make an impact on the world. My faith has grown a ton in the last year, and I want to do Godly work. My best idea for doing that is maximizing my earnings so I can give it all away to charities and other organizations. I do a bit of this already, but I want to give it my all. My dream is to donate over $10 billion by the end of my life.
Thank you to everyone for your support thus far.
I’m always grateful, and I wish you all success.
Talk soon(ish) ✌
